- Assess the critical steps in airline route start-ups and the tools required to make appropriate decisions for route and network development
- Assess aircraft fleet management criteria and the fit of aircraft into operational requirements including economic and practical features of the equipment
Airline Revenue and Pricing Management

- Assess the role of pricing strategy in the balancing of airline revenue potential by understanding market trends and air travel demand characteristics

Airline and Airport Strategic Management
Upon completing successfully this module the student will demonstrate capability to:
- Assess airline and airport strategic management opportunities resulting from the academic approach of Professor Michael Porter and the resource-based school of strategy
- Evaluate how to create a new airline operation using the airline simulation tool and successfully launch operations balancing revenue and costs
- Assess the innovation used in the airline creation using the simulation tool and results from the simulation
Airport Planning and Development
At the end of this module, students will be able to:
- Evaluate the key drivers of airport development and how airports fit into a national airport system (LO1)
- Assess the nature of airport master plans and how they are developed in a timely manner (LO2)
